1,2,3 - 5,6,7 ; 1,2,3 - 5,6,7

Have you ever felt like you can skip, twirl and shake to the rhythm of the music??
nope...that's totally not me at all
someone with two left feet....and have no sense of co-ordination

My first encounter with salsa, was during Team Manager course, some time end of 2007.
I came in late for class, and our instructor, Johan Ishak insisted that all the late comers will have to dance for the rest of the class....

~shy~

Haha...so , its like a really good surprise , when the music comes on (yup, Johan even brought his salsa cd), its actually quite fun.....

This is one punishment, that I wouldn't mind doing over and over again....kekekeke

So, on thursday, when Carol say she want to learn how to dance.....I suggested salsa...but we had not idea where to go for classes. Kekeke...being the one person with all the time of the world, I have been browsing Facebook a lot and noted that one of my friend, Ruben, is a Salsa fan!! Well, popped him a message on Facebook and viola, we've got a lead!!

Ruben suggested that we go to Havana Estudio this Saturday (27th Sept), as they have this class for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS!! Kekekekeekekke......

Anyway, out of the 5 of us, only Huay Yin , Carol and myself can make it on Saturday night, but Huay Yin pulled out last minute coz she want to go back to Malacca. So, its just Carol and myself.

As much as I'm excited, I also remembered that my co-ordination between my hands and legs are a little.....retarded. I can't imagine myself swaying my hips, and do that nice twirl and all.....so, by 6 something in the evening, the thought of chickening out is really strong.....

But I've promised Carol that I'll go with her...so...so...yeah...I went. And I'm so glad that I didn't chicken out!! Its blardy fun!!

The instructor , Sam - he's so charming and nice. We almost warmed up to him immediately. And it helped that the rest of the people who came, are absolute beginners too. So...we did the mambo, and there's a cockroach step (Sam use some nice word...but I only remember Cockroach), did the right turn, then we had most fun during the partnering session.

Awwww.....its really been awhile since I've enjoyed myself so much!!

But then, after the bouts of diarrhoea I had the past few days, I'm really not up for the Studio Party that they are having after the class. We stayed on for awhile, both Carol and I stood there in awe......and go like " GOsh....look at how she turn and fall back in position with her partner!!" or "Wow...that's such a nice move!!"

Plus, both of us are a little intimidated by the pro's, who are already dancing away.........

~MH thinks this is better than gym - coz she's having lots of fun !~
